Pinecone Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer Ornaments!

The weather is cold- sunny, but cold… And both my girls are sick. Coughing, sneezing, snottily snoring through the nights… It’s awesome. We’re all about washing sheets in hot water, washing hands, nose drops, humidifiers and lots of fluids right now.

There is some serious cabin fever happening because we’ve hardly even stepped outside for days.  But lucky for us, we have been collecting pinecones for a while, and picked up some crafty supplies at Walmart and the dollar store with a homemade Christmas gift in mind. This morning we got them out and started making these cute little Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer inspired ornaments!

Check it out- they are super easy and pretty much precious.

I picked a pinecone, made some antlers out of some sparking silver pipe cleaners and cut some ears from brown felt. Each got hot glue gunned in place and a little hook was secured for hangin’.

I added some googly eyes and a red bejeweled nose! And… Ta-Da!

Daphne picked white ears and Gloria wanted purple (both felt) and there were some gold antlers made too (dollar store pipe cleaners)!

This activity was fun and we will be making more because we have a lot of loved ones who need an ornament like this…
What sorts if Christmas gifts do you like to make?

Thank you for stopping into The Fancy Elephant Life and have a beautiful day!
